We respect your privacy and take care with every detail you share. This notice explains what information we collect, why we collect it and how you can contact us with questions. It applies to tinybaker.uk, in-person events and any forms hosted under our domain.
Who we are
The Tiny Baker is a micro bakery based in Manchester, UK. You can reach us at hello@tinybaker.uk or by post at Moss Side, Manchester, M14.
Information we collect
- Contact details such as your name, email address and phone number when you place an order or request a quote.
- Order details including items requested, delivery preferences, event information and notes about allergens or decorations.
- Files you upload for custom commissions (reference images, inspiration boards). These are stored securely and deleted after 6 months.
- Payment information handled by PayPal or your bank. We never store card numbers on our servers.
- Website usage such as pages visited and links clicked, collected via privacy-friendly analytics to improve our service.
How we use your information
- To prepare and deliver your cakes or cupcakes.
- To respond to enquiries and send booking confirmations.
- To manage invoices, payments and refunds.
- To send optional updates about seasonal menus when you opt in.
- To comply with food safety, accounting and tax obligations.
Sharing your information
We only share your data with trusted partners when necessary: our email provider, payment processors (PayPal) and delivery couriers. Each partner processes information according to our instructions and UK GDPR requirements. We never sell your data.
How long we keep information
- Order records: 6 years for accounting purposes.
- Custom design uploads: 6 months, then permanently deleted.
- Newsletter lists: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct mistakes, withdraw consent for marketing or request deletion of non-essential information. Email hello@tinybaker.uk and we’ll respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep your cart working and optional analytics cookies to understand trends. You can block analytics cookies without affecting ordering. Browser settings also let you remove cookies at any time.
Security
Our website uses HTTPS encryption and our admin area is restricted. Uploaded files are stored outside the public web root. Access to personal data is limited to the bakery owner and trusted assistants.
